SustainNYC Hack-a-thon is a NYC-based virtual hackathon for all to empower those interested in the combination of sustainability and computer science. This is a virtual, 24-hour hackathon that encourages anyone with any and all levels of coding experience to attend. This is a production-invention event where participants interested in Computer Science collaborate to create software projects.
The event is completely free, and there will be a 4 judge panel including someone from the Mayor's office of climate policy. Sponsered by MCN, there will be 3 prizes with a grand total of $150! The prizes are $70 for first place, $50 for second place, and $30 for last place. The SustainNYC Hack-a-thon will be held virtually and start on Saturday (March 20, 2021) at 11 A.M. (EST) to Sunday (March 21,2021) at 11 A.M. (EST). Participants will need an electronic device with access to Wi-Fi.
